The Chaguaramas Military Museum
The Chaguaramas military and Aerospace Museum was first opened in 1992 registered as an educational charity founded by Commander Gaylord Kelshall (Ret). It is a former U.S. military commissioned into a museum and features over 500 years of Trinidad and Tobago's military history from the first settlers of the the islands to the Cold War.
The exterior houses preserved aircrafts, land vehicles and boats used during the World War 2 era, the main building has artifacts from the many major political changes Trinidad and Tobago has undergone. The museum features artifacts and relics from the indigenous Amerindians that inhabited the island long before Columbus' arrival in the 15th century, to the weaponry, amour, uniforms and radio equipment from the colonial eras of Trinidad namely the Spanish, French, and English.
