The Morne Catherine Road
The Morne Catherine Road better known by its English name Mt. Saint Catherine Road is a trail west of the Tucker Valley road in Chaguaramas. It overlooks the the Chaguaramas golf course and its summit is the tallest peak of the the Chaguaramas peninsula clocking in at 541 metres. Summiting the trail rewards you with view of the Airport Authority's radar antenna more affectionately referred to as "The Chaguaramas Ball" as it resembles is spherical football.
A variety of recluse animals can be spotted along the trail, such as howler monkeys, white-headed capuchins, toucans, and humming birds. Also found along the path are antiquated, decommissioned bunkers that were used during World War II
The trail is a popular route for hikers, nature lovers, bikers and joggers, the Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA) regularly hosts tours of the tail and landmarks of significance along the way. The trek is considered moderately challenging so be well prepared before you explore this installment of Trinidad's rich history.

One of the best hiking trails I've ever been on. There's a steady incline as you ascend the mountain where you hear the sound of howler monkeys.
